Library

Welcome to the Woodland Library! I’m Mrs. Babovic, a.k.a. Mrs. Bubblefish, and I’m so happy to be here.

We are grateful to have an extensive collection of picture books, chapter books, and non-fiction. During students' weekly library time with their class, they hear and discuss a story, browse the shelves, and check out a book to keep for the week. Classes also come in to conduct research for special projects (biographies, animals, habitats, etc.).

Thanks to the support of our KWPFO, we are able to keep current with new titles. Some Dragon favorites this year include “The Smart Cookie” and “The Sour Grape” by Jory John and Pete Oswald, as well as anything Pokemon-related. Graphic novels such as Dav Pilkey’s Dog Man series continue to be popular. And of course anything about unicorns, mermaids, dragons, and pets always flies off the shelves.

Students in TK-1st grade check out one book per week, while second graders can check out two. Families, thank you for helping your child bring their book back to school on library day so they can get a new one! Forget? Not to worry – the library is also open during morning recess so anyone who forgot their library book the day before can pop in to exchange it.

Happy reading, Dragons!
