Principal's Message
Woodland Families,
I am honored to serve the students, staff, and families that make up this AMAZING Woodland community. I have been an educator for 30 years and served in a variety of roles including elementary counselor/liaison, teacher, curriculum coordinator, professional development trainer, and principal. I love working on a school site and enjoy the daily interactions with staff, students, and volunteers.
I am a wife and mother. My husband, Zoltan, and I just celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary. We have two amazing sons, Michael (27) and Nicholas(25). We are fortunate to have them both living locally and treasure the time we are able to spend together. Our extended family lives out of state, and although our family Zoom sessions and regular family trips together help us stay connected, we miss the regular interactions that happen when you live close. We are grateful that our sons, at least for now, live close by!
I want to assure you that our collective commitment is to provide our students with a safe, quality education program that meets the needs of ALL students. Your partnership is important and welcomed. Woodland is a GREAT place to learn and grow!
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me anagy@nmusd.us.
I will continue posting and sending out a weekly newsletter for parents that will help keep the community informed. It will be posted at the end of each week on our website.
Warmest Regards,
Dr. Amy Nagy, Principal
A Message From the Assistant Principal
Dear Woodland Families,
I am so excited to join your community this year! I look forward to meeting and working with you all. I have been in education for 25 years as a teacher, 1st-6th, a Literacy Coach and now an Assistant Principal. Some of you may have seen me at Kaiser which is the other site I serve. Before I came to Woodland, I was the assistant principal at Cloud Campus and Lincoln Elementary.
I have two children; my daughter Emily is a freshman at UC Berkeley and my son Jack is a sophomore at San Clemente High School. The last year and a half has brought about more time to spend as a family; a silver lining for sure.
I am here to help build an even stronger community of learners here at Woodland and to support you and your children through whatever you may need.
All my best,
Teri Schad, Assistant Principal
