All Woodland Dragons visit the Library once a week.  During library time, the students enjoy story time and time to select a book or two to read  in the library, their classrooms and sometimes at home.

TK-1st grade students are allowed 1 book per week, granted they have returned their book from the previous week.

2nd graders  are allowed to check out 2 books per week  and are encouraged to pick a chapter book  and a picture book.

In the library, the students listen to a variety of fiction and non-fiction books that range anywhere from Tacky the Penguin to biographies about Martin Luther King Jr.

There are over 5,000 books in our library, and I am constantly reminding students to explore the shelves in the library and it’s hidden treasures.

While in the library the students can lounge while they read new and old stories alike, on one of the many bean bags or stools, under the tree,  on the colored carpets or in Duncan the Dragon’s lair.

On a warm and sunny day, each class can read on the beautiful benches just outside the library during their library time.

We would like to thank the PFO for all their support.  Among many other things, the PFO coordinates two book fairs for the library each year, which provide much needed funding for the library.  Without their aid, the library would not be able to purchase new books , replace dated and obsolete resources in the library or replace old furniture.

Come on in and Catch a Dragon by the Tale!
