School Site Council

Woodland's School Site Council (SSC) is a decision-making body that represents all educational partners of the school community. The school principal, teachers, other school personnel, and parents make up this group.  

Woodland's School Site Council's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing, evaluating, and approving the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), including the proposed expenditures of funds, Needs Assessment, and Annual Evaluation.

  • Planning, reviewing, and improving school Parent/Family Engagement.

  • Reviewing and approving the Comprehensive School Safety Plan.

  • Providing input on the Local Control Accountability Plan.

Woodland’s SSC meets at least 4 times each school year. Parent and staff representatives are elected after being nominated by self or others.
